eNom Purchases BulkRegister

eNom Inc has purchased BulkRegister LLC., an ICANN accredited domain registrar on the 26th of July 2006.
The company says that the addition of BulkRegister gives eNom an additional 1.5 million domain names and 35,000 bulk membership customers. With more than 6.8 million domain names on its platform, the combined company is now the second-largest registrar in the world, surpassing Network Solutions, according to Name Intelligence.
AMD proposes purchase of ATI for $5.4 billion

Looks like Intel’s rival Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
has just up the stakes with it’s propose purchase of Canadian company ATI Technologies Inc for $5.4 billion.

On July 24, 2006, AMD and ATI announced a plan to join forces, in a transaction that will combine AMD’s technology leadership in microprocessors with ATI’s strengths in graphics, chipsets and consumer electronics. The result is a processing powerhouse: a new competitor, better equipped to drive growth, innovation and choice for its customers in commercial and mobile computing segments and in rapidly-growing consumer electronics segments. The transaction, valued at US $5.4 billion, is expected to close in Q4 2006 subject to approval by ATI shareholders, court approval, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

So, the G73 chip was originally designed by Nvidia as a graphics processor for mainstream and budget-mainstream graphics cards. Digital Camera Review has reviewed Canon’s new 5.0 Megapixel CCD sensor, the Canon Powershot A530 Digital Camera.
According to ‘AKAJohnDoe’ of Digital Camera Review The Canon Powershot A530 can barely be called a compact camera with it’s measurement and weight at at 3.56 x 2.52 x 1.70 in (90.4 x 64.0 x 43.2 mm) and 6.00 oz (170 g).
AKAJohnDoe continues to say that the A530 is very similar to its slightly more expensive sibling, the Canon Powershot A540. In fact, it shares the same User Guide with the A540. The A540 bumps up the specs a bit with a 6 megapixel sensor, 2.5 inch LCD, aperture and shutter priority modes.
